Romaniacs Day 3: Lettenbichler Unstoppable on the King's Ridge
Manuel Lettenbichler pulls even further ahead on the penultimate day of Red Bull Romaniacs, leaving the field to fight for the remaining podium steps.
Mani Lettenbichler proved why he is the king of the Carpathians today, navigating the infamous King's Ridge with surgical precision. While the rest of the Gold class struggled with the steep, greasy climbs following overnight rain, the Red Bull KTM star seemed to find traction where none existed, extending his overall lead to over 30 minutes. The battle for second has intensified between Mario Roman and Teodor Kabakchiev. The Sherco rider and the Bulgarian powerhouse swapped positions throughout the day, with Roman eventually clawing back precious seconds in the final technical descent into the valley. Tomorrow's final day looks to be a victory lap for Mani, but the fight for the podium is far from over.
