Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Enduro University ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website endurouniversity.com (the "Site"), a content and community website for enduro motorcycle riders offering riding guides, courses, a motorcycle database, news, community features and related services (collectively, the "Services"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your personal data.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following categories:
- Account data: when you register, we collect your email address and a password (stored as a hashed value). With Google sign-in, we receive your name and email from Google. You may also add a display name, profile photo and other rider-profile details you choose to provide.
- User-generated content: posts, comments, photos, clips you submit, poll votes, predictions and trivia answers you contribute.
- Communications: messages you send us through contact forms, error reports, or advertising inquiries, including your name and email.
- Usage data without analytics consent: an anonymous count of the page viewed, the referring site and the device type (mobile, tablet or desktop). No identifier is stored in your browser for this.
- Usage data with analytics consent: in addition to the above, a random visitor and session identifier stored in your browser's local storage, and your approximate country, which is looked up from your IP address through the third-party service geojs.io. Google Analytics is also enabled (see below).
- Email list data: your email address when you join our email list or the Premium waitlist.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate and maintain the Services, including your rider profile, garage and progress tracking.
- Authenticate you and secure your account.
- Publish and display the content you submit, and attribute it to your profile.
- Send the emails you have signed up for and service-related notifications.
- Respond to your inquiries, error reports and advertising requests.
- Measure and analyze traffic and engagement to improve the Site.
- Detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse and security issues.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser's local storage) to operate the Site and, with your permission, to understand how it is used. We use:
- Essential storage required for the Site to function, including keeping you logged in and remembering your cookie choice.
- Analytics storage (Google Analytics cookies and our own visitor and session identifiers) — only after you choose Accept in the cookie banner.
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics. Until you accept, analytics storage stays off. If you decline, the identifiers used by our own page statistics are removed from your browser. To change your choice later, clear this Site's data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again. Embedded third-party content (for example the TikTok feed) may set its own cookies when it loads.
5. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the Site. It runs in Google's consent mode: analytics cookies are set only after you accept analytics in the cookie banner. Before that, Google may receive limited cookieless signals that do not identify you. With consent, Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit, what pages they visit, and the device and approximate region they use. You can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy and install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to disable tracking.
6. Email List
If you join our email list or the Premium waitlist, we store your email address and use it only to send you the emails you signed up for. You can ask to be removed at any time through the Contact page. We do not sell your email address.
7. Advertising
The Site does not currently run third-party advertising networks or advertising cookies. If we add sponsored placements or advertising partners in the future, we will label them and update this policy before any advertising cookies are used.
8. User-Generated Content
When you post content to the Site — including community posts, comments, photos and submitted clips — that content is associated with your profile and may be visible to other users. You retain ownership of your content, but by submitting it you grant us a license to host, display, reproduce and distribute it on the Site and, where relevant, on our affiliated social channels as described in our Terms of Service. Please do not submit content that reveals personal information you do not wish to be public.
9. Third-Party Services
The Site integrates with third-party services that may collect information governed by their own privacy policies, including: our hosting and application platform (Base44), authentication providers (e.g. Google), social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), video hosting, analytics (Google Analytics) and IP-to-country lookup (geojs.io, only with analytics consent). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.
10. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. We retain user-generated content for the lifetime of the relevant feature unless you delete it. We keep usage and analytics data for as long as needed for the purposes described above, and communications for a reasonable period to respond and keep records. You may request deletion of your data as described below.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through the Contact page. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and may verify your identity before acting on a request.
12. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted password storage and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
14. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and Israel, where our servers and service providers are located. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
16. Contact
Questions about this Privacy Policy can be sent through our Contact page or our social channels. We aim to respond promptly.
