Romaniacs 2026 Offroad Day 2: Lettenbichler Tightens His Grip as Bolt Battles Back

Lettenbichler extends his Romaniacs lead on a brutal 183 km Day 2; Billy Bolt charges to second despite losing his hydration pack, with Mario Roman completing the podium.
Manuel Lettenbichler (Red Bull KTM) won a brutal 183 km Offroad Day 2 in scorching heat to extend his overall lead at the 23rd Red Bull Romaniacs. Billy Bolt (Husqvarna) took second, 8 minutes 28 seconds down — remarkable given he lost his hydration pack early in the day. Mario Roman completed the podium, finishing just over a minute clear of prologue winner Teo Kabakchiev.
The day opened with the notorious "Twister" section, but the LIVEmaniacs Via Ferrata proved decisive: near-vertical ladder climbs, loose scree and tight technical switchbacks where Roman and Bolt traded blows. Graham Jarvis placed eighth on the day and holds fifth overall, while Alfredo Gomez withdrew with a hand injury.
In Silver Class, Eddie Karlsson won the 202 km route aboard a STARK VARG eMoto — a milestone for electric hard enduro — with Diego Chang taking Bronze and Jonny Walker dominating Adventure Ultimate.
Lettenbichler: "Overall a fast day, it's just so dry out there it's a super fast pace so there's no time for any mistakes."
Bolt: "Tough day especially up to the Service Point... I struggled in LIVEmaniacs, it didn't go well."
Offroad Day 3 returns to Sibiu with no mid-day service available.
