The German hard enduro star discusses the mental and physical toll of securing his fifth victory in the Carpathian Mountains.
Fresh off his historic fifth victory at Red Bull Romaniacs, Manuel Lettenbichler has shared insights into one of the most demanding weeks of his career. Despite a 33-minute margin of victory, the KTM factory rider emphasized that the 2026 edition pushed him to his limits, particularly during the marathon stage where riders were isolated from their support crews. Lettenbichler noted that the increasing technicality of the Gold Class sections required a higher level of precision than ever before.
He credited his KTM 300 EXC for its reliability across the four off-road days, noting that the bike's setup remained consistent despite the extreme shifts in elevation and terrain. With this win, Lettenbichler has reclaimed the lead in the Hard Enduro World Championship standings, setting the stage for a high-stakes battle as the series heads toward the Red Bull TKO. His focus now shifts to recovery and maintaining this momentum for the remainder of the season.
